Figuring Out Our Purpose.

“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” – Mark Twain. I believe we are all put on this earth for a reason but we have to discover this reason which is the hard part. Nothing happens on accident there is a purpose behind everything but we won’t realize it until we look back on our lives. Doing what makes us happy is our purpose in life no matter what that is. We all have a purpose and we won’t be able to leave this earth until our job is complete. We all have a job to make this world a better place but it will be in different ways. This is a reason why we shouldn’t compare our lives. One persons job in life may be to create music that makes the world feel good while another persons job may be to collect trash in his neighborhood to keep it clean. Both these jobs are equally important. Society will tell you that one is better than the other but it is all about happiness. Figuring out your purpose in life is not easy because there will be many ups and downs and times when we want to give up but if we can make it through that the happiness will be immeasurable. It may seem impossible to accomplish what we dream we can do but trying will allow us to keep pushing through the hard times that we will face. I don’t have life figured out but I know we can only do this once so being miserable while doing it isn’t a option. Thank you.

  1. Found your blog from blogging101. Such an insightful way of looking at the bigger picture, “Society will tell you that one is better than the other but it is all about happiness.”
I don’t know how many people successfully ‘figures out’ their meaning walking on this earth – their life, but yes, as long as we are fulfilled and happy, that’s the end game and we’ve win, right?
Love your thinking and look forward to more of your writing!

If you have the chance, please do check out my first (long form, sorry for that) blogging101 post too:
