Blessing And Curse Of A Plan B.

Recently me and my brothers were eating and talking about life. We were talking about what we wanted to do as careers and our goals. Then one of my brothers was telling us about how if one thing didn’t work out he could always do a different career. I began to think about how having a back up plan can be good for a person but also be bad for person.

Of course we don’t succeed at everything and in our society we have bills and responsibilities that might require us to take the safer route in life. But what if there is something we are really passionate about that we would love to do for the rest of our lives but we fail a few times. Should we give up? The blessing of having a plan b is that if we fail at our 1st goal we have something to fall back on. The curse of a plan b is that if we fail at our 1st goal we have something to fall back on. What I’m saying is that if we really are passionate about our first goal we shouldn’t have time to think about what we should do if we fail. That could hinder us from going as hard as we can and not thinking about giving up. If all we had to do in life is accomplish our one goal it wouldn’t matter how many times we were told no because we would keep going until we got that one yes. I believe having a plan b could make it easier for us to give up on what we really want. I’m not against having a back up plan if it fits you because I understand we all have different responsibilities such as children and bills but think to ourselves about how much harder we would work at something if it was all we had to live for. Thank you.

Just love the way you think, I couldn’t agree with you more. this is what makes the difference between “living a life” and “LIVING LIFE!”
